In Memoriam

It is with great sadness to share the news that one of our trustees, Pete Crowe, died last week.

John Paton our current Chairman writes: Pete Crowe joined our Trustee Body right from the start in 2014 and I was so pleased that he agreed to join us.  I had worked for many years with him at Home-Start Arun, Worthing and Adur where he was the Chair.

He was a tower of strength there and was hugely instrumental in successfully guiding the charity through some very difficult times.

He helped us too.  He was a very strong character who consistently and carefully analysed all that we did,  bringing a lovely sense of humour in with a laser like attention to detail.  Nobody could describe him as retired – in the last few years he completed a politics degree at Portsmouth, pursued his great love of jazz and fast cars, sang in the local choir and enthusiastically supported the VIC.

His funeral is on the 8th March, his wife has asked for family flowers only with donations in Pete’s name to Reynolds Funeral Directors at Worthing.
